I'm fairly new to ham radio, but have been an electronics hobbyist for many years. I let the fear of the CW test keep me from getting my ticket sooner. Don't any of you do the same! I enjoy the casual DX and get a kick out of responding to contest CQ's with my boat-anchor gear.

I presently use a 330 foot sky loop about 30 feet in the air. I operate a Yaesu FT-301D and a Galaxy V mk III HF station on CW/SSB as well as a Knight Kit R100A/T150 pair on HF CW/AM. I operate a Yaesu FT-221 for my 2M base transmitting out with a Ringo Ranger 2 vertical. I am mobile from my QTH in NW Montana in my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee equiped with an Icom 3200A dual band 2 & 440 rig and an Alinco DX-70T for HF. I also collect tube-type CB radios and Knight-kit electronics.
